Jhansi Police Arrest 6 in Online Gambling Racket

Gang used app, website to bet on cricket matches

who were allegedly operating an international cricket betting network. Authorities seized 26 mobile phones, 62 ATM cards, five bank passbooks, one laptop, and other digital equipment used in the gambling operations.

The arrested gang members include:

Sumit Singhania (26) – Aligarh

Rinku Jatav (27) – Aligarh

Saurav Jatav (27) – Aligarh

Yogesh Chaudhary (22) – Mathura

Krishna Rana (24) – Mathura

Raja Ahirwar (26) – Madhya Pradesh

Police said the group, well-educated with some members holding engineering degrees, ran a gambling platform through a website called 100PANEL.Com and a custom app. Individual user IDs and passwords were used, while WhatsApp facilitated communication and all financial transactions were conducted online.

The raid took place at the residence of Farid alias Baba Mistri near Unnao Gate in the old city area under City Kotwali jurisdiction, where the accused were caught in the act. Two of the main operators, Krishna and Yogesh, had traveled to Dubai for training in running the gambling network.

SP City Gyanendra Kumar Singh confirmed the arrests, stating that the mastermind of the racket is still absconding and is believed to be in Dubai. Investigations are ongoing to trace other accomplices and connections across India and abroad.

The accused were booked under Section 3/4 of the Public Gambling Act and Section 112(2) BNS.
