CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Jesus Di Ante King, 20, of Cartersville, and Samantha Layne Williams, 23, of Athens, have been charged with second-degree burglary and felony theft after an incident at Global Auto Sales on Redmond Circle.

Police report that King broke into the dealership by smashing the glass entry door. Once inside, he stole ignition keys for multiple vehicles and drove away in a black 2019 Dodge Charger valued at $34,500 without permission.

Investigators say Williams aided King by driving him to the dealership and following him as he fled the scene with the stolen vehicle.

Authorities warn that since multiple keys were taken during the break-in, there may be attempts at further vehicle thefts.

Both suspects face charges of second-degree burglary and felony theft by taking.
