HERRIN, Ill. (KBSI) — A Herrin woman is facing multiple charges after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen vehicle that had been reported missing from Jackson County.
Deputies spotted a 2010 Nissan Titan around 2:19 p.m. Monday traveling north on Park Avenue before it entered the Walmart parking lot in Herrin. Officers quickly boxed in the truck and arrested the driver, identified as Jessica R. Walker, without incident.
During a search, deputies reportedly found methamphetamine inside Walker’s purse. Investigators confirmed the truck had been reported stolen on October 4.
Walker now faces several charges, including:
Possession of a stolen vehicle (Class 2 felony)
Possession of methamphetamine (Class 3 felony)
Driving while license revoked (Class A misdemeanor)
Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor)
Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich praised his team’s work, noting that in 2025 alone, deputies have recovered dozens of stolen vehicles and made numerous arrests connected to theft cases.
“These recoveries reflect our ongoing commitment to protecting residents and holding offenders accountable,” Diederich said. “Crime will not be tolerated in Williamson County.”
Walker was booked into the Williamson County Jail.
