SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WABI) – A Cornville woman is facing serious charges after a routine traffic stop led to a drug bust in Skowhegan on Wednesday.
Jessica Salisbury, 48, was arrested by Skowhegan Police and charged with aggravated drug trafficking and violating conditions of release, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
Salisbury was already a target in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation when officers pulled her vehicle over. Upon searching the car, police discovered a coffee tumbler with a false bottom—a concealed compartment used to store illegal substances.
Inside, officials say they found cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Salisbury was taken into custody and transported to the Somerset County Jail, where her bail has been set at $50,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
