PECKSMILL, W.Va. – Three people are facing multiple felony charges after West Virginia State Police uncovered large quantities of illegal drugs and a firearm during a Logan County raid.
Troopers arrested:
Jessica Riffe, 43, of Pecksmill, W.Va.
Taylen Brown, 24, of Akron, Ohio
Jaquan Amos, 24, also of Akron
All three were charged with conspiracy and three counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, authorities confirmed Tuesday. During the search of a residence on Stable Branch Road, troopers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
In addition, Jaquan Amos was hit with an extra charge for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm after an AR-15 style rifle was found inside the home.
The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the region. All three suspects are being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail. Bail was set at $150,000 cash for both Riffe and Brown, and $170,000 for Amos.
West Virginia State Police continue to investigate, with more charges potentially pending.
