CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN — On May 27, 2025, Officer Jessie Henson responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart involving a white 1998 Ford F-150 seen leaving the store with stolen goods around 12:55 p.m.

A Walmart loss prevention officer had observed a male on surveillance video entering the store at 12:37 p.m., filling a cart with merchandise, and exiting at 12:54 p.m. without making any attempt to pay.

Cumberland County deputies quickly located and stopped the suspect vehicle. The driver was identified as Jesse Michael Maynard, who reportedly offered to return the merchandise if no charges were filed.

Officers recovered stolen items valued at $1,026.48. The merchandise was confirmed by a Walmart employee, identified as Zglinicki, and returned to the store.

Maynard was arrested and charged with theft of property. He was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where the recovered items were returned to the loss prevention officer.
