A heated love triangle dispute led to the arrest of 45-year-old Jesse James McCarrel, a Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency officer, who is now facing serious criminal charges.

McCarrel has been charged with terrorizing, stalking, harassment, and criminal trespass after allegedly threatening a victim involved with a woman known to McCarrel. Court documents reveal that McCarrel confronted the victim with disturbing messages, including one that stated, “Don’t let me see you! I’ll kill you!”

In addition to the messages, McCarrel allegedly showed up at the victim’s home, demanding that he come outside. The officer is also accused of following the victim for hours, from Hagatna to Piti, and back to the victim’s home.

The victim, fearing for his safety, informed authorities that he was aware McCarrel was a Customs officer, who is also authorized to carry a firearm. McCarrel reportedly admitted to police that he did not intend to make threats but was upset over the situation.

McCarrel’s arrest adds to the growing list of public figures facing charges for abuse of power and threats. The case remains under investigation.
