FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man connected to two separate shooting incidents in Fresno has been arrested, police confirmed.

The first incident occurred on April 11 near Ashlan and Chestnut Avenue, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds and provided emergency medical care. Both were transported to CRMC and are now in stable condition. A third victim fled the scene and has not been located.

During their investigation, officers discovered two homes damaged by gunfire, one of which was hosting a party at the time. Witnesses reported that two unknown suspects arrived and began firing without warning.

Police were able to identify one of the suspects as Jershawn Worthy and issued a warrant for his arrest.

The second incident occurred on July 6 near Sierra Vista and Turner Avenue. Officers found a vehicle containing spent shell casings and live ammunition. Witnesses reported seeing Worthy fleeing from the car.

Worthy was arrested shortly afterward, and a search of his residence turned up a semi-automatic firearm with an extended magazine.

He now faces multiple charges as the investigation continues.
