NIAGARA FALLS, NY — A woman was arrested after allegedly shoplifting from the Target store on Niagara Falls Boulevard on the evening of August 16.

Niagara Falls Police responded to the store at approximately 6:00 p.m. following a report from an asset protection employee, who stated that Jerrtonia Searight, a black female, had concealed several items, including women’s clothing and jewelry, inside her purse.

Searight was observed passing all points of sale without paying. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $146.14, according to a store receipt. All items were recovered and returned to the store.

The store’s asset protection staff pressed charges and requested that Searight be officially trespassed from the property.

Searight was taken into custody without incident, transported to police headquarters, and processed. She was issued an appearance ticket for Niagara Falls City Court at a later date.

No further details have been released at this time.
