OMAHA, Neb. — An Omaha man has been sentenced to more than 58 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to fentanyl trafficking and firearms charges, federal prosecutors announced.

Jeron Morris, 33, received the sentence this week following a federal investigation into drug activity at his residence. Prosecutors said agents searched Morris’s home in May of last year after identifying it as a suspected stash house.

During the search, authorities recovered more than 1,000 fentanyl pills, two loaded handguns, and over $1,000 in cash.

Morris received an enhanced sentence due to prior federal convictions, including bank robbery, prosecutors said. Investigators also revealed that Morris began frequenting the stash house while completing a previous prison sentence at a local halfway house.
