CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Jermaine Mathews, a suspect involved in a recent Cincinnati brawl, was arrested on federal drug charges Monday.

Mathews is accused of conspiring to possess and distribute at least 40 grams of cocaine and fentanyl. Authorities also allege he operated a drug trafficking location on Kenton Street in the Walnut Hills neighborhood.

Mathews previously posted bond after facing charges of felonious assault, assault, and aggravated riot related to a July 26 downtown assault.

Federal agents, in cooperation with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office RENU unit, arrested Mathews and three others — Jerome Mitchell, 41; Terence Huff, 41; and Clarence Williams, 42 — on the new charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
