Eden, N.C. (BTW21) – After an extensive investigation by the Eden Police Department Special Operations Division, 37-year-old Jermaine Laquan Carter—also known as “Quan”—has been arrested and charged with several serious drug offenses.
Carter, a resident of 409 Greenwood Street in Eden, North Carolina, was taken into custody on March 13, 2025. The charges against him include:
Trafficking opium or heroin
Manufacturing, selling, delivering, or possessing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park
Possession of cocaine
Possession of marijuana
Possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine
Possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana
Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the purpose of selling controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Following his arrest, Carter was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrate’s Office and was issued a $200,000 secure bond.
He is set to appear in Wentworth District Court on March 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
