TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — A 42-year-old Leon County man is facing multiple human trafficking charges following an extensive investigation by local authorities.
Jermaine Jamison has been charged with five counts of trafficking using coercion for commercial sexual activity involving adult victims, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).
Investigators say Jamison recruited adult victims for commercial sexual activity and maintained control over their phones and finances. A probable cause affidavit states that several victims reported being physically assaulted if they refused to participate in sex acts. Authorities also allege Jamison supplied drugs to some victims to deepen their addictions and maintain control.
One victim told investigators she lost custody of her child after Jamison allegedly locked her in a bathroom for several hours, causing her to miss a custody hearing.
According to the affidavit, Jamison also impersonated one victim while contacting a family member and allegedly extorted approximately $3,800 by falsely claiming she needed money for treatment programs. Investigators say this tactic was used to isolate victims from family support systems.
Court documents further allege Jamison posted online advertisements for sex, dictated when and where victims engaged in sex acts, collected the proceeds and used coercion and violence in what authorities describe as a prolonged pattern of trafficking activity in Leon County.
Records show that between Jan. 1, 2020, and June 7, 2025, law enforcement responded to multiple calls for service at motels in the North Monroe area. Those calls ranged from trespassing complaints to domestic disturbances.
Jamison was taken into custody with assistance from the United States Marshals Service, according to the sheriff’s office.
