Jeremy Wright Arrested in Reading, NY for Methamphetamine and Drug Manufacturing

Police seize drugs, lab equipment, and firearms in meth operation

Reading, N.Y. (WBNG) — A 44-year-old man from Reading, New York, was arrested by the New York State Police on drug-related charges following a raid at his home on April 3.

Jeremy Wright faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 2nd and 3rd degrees, and unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine. The arrest took place after members of the State Police Troop E Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, along with other law enforcement units, executed a search warrant at Wright’s residence located at 2665 Church Road in Schuyler County.

During the search, authorities seized a variety of drugs and manufacturing equipment, including approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, three ounces of suspected methamphetamine oil, two gallons of methamphetamine oil, and about 1/8 ounce of psilocybin mushrooms. Authorities also found approximately 300 pseudoephedrine pills, digital scales, packaging materials, and an antique pistol.

Additionally, laboratory equipment, solvents, and chemical reagents used in the illegal production of methamphetamine were removed by the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team West (CCSERT).

Wright was processed at the State Police station in Dundee before being transported to the Schuyler County Jail for a court appearance. Authorities indicated that the investigation is ongoing.
