GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Jeremy Suedel, 42, was arrested on Thursday, July 17, after officers spotted him downtown and he fled on foot.

At approximately 3:49 p.m., a Grand Forks Police officer recognized Suedel near the 1100 block of 4th Avenue North. When Suedel noticed the officer, he ran north, prompting multiple patrol units to establish a perimeter. A K-9 unit was called in to assist with the search.

Police received credible information that Suedel had entered an acquaintance’s home in the 1100 block of 5th Avenue North. With the homeowner’s consent, officers searched the residence and found Suedel hiding in the basement. He was taken into custody without incident.

Suedel is currently held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center on outstanding warrants. The investigation remains active.
