SÅNTA RITA-SUMAI — Jeremy Babauta Pangelinan, 43, is in custody facing multiple charges including burglary, theft, drug possession, and carrying a firearm without a valid ID.
Prosecutors say Pangelinan broke into a home on July 22, smashing a bathroom window and stealing a PlayStation 5 and a firearm from the homeowner’s nightstand.
Weeks later, police responded to a trespassing call and reviewed security footage showing Pangelinan walking near a residence carrying a gun. Officers located him at a nearby bus stop, where he admitted to discarding the stolen firearm into nearby bushes.
A search of his belongings uncovered a makeshift pipe and two baggies of suspected methamphetamine.
Pangelinan is charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors and will appear in Superior Court.
