Jeremy Fraga Among Teens Arrested in Laredo Shooting

17-Year-Old Victim Shot in the Face on Manor Road

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with the shooting of 17-year-old Rodrigo Garza Cepeda earlier this month.

Seventeen-year-olds Jeremy Fraga and Jorge Alberto Johnson IV were taken into custody. Fraga faces charges of aggravated assault and deadly conduct, while Johnson was charged with deadly conduct.

A 16-year-old was also detained and taken to the Webb County Youth Village. This teen faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Jan. 11. According to reports, Cepeda was sitting in a truck outside his home on the 400 block of Manor Road when a vehicle approached, and someone inside opened fire, striking him in the face. He was transported to San Antonio for medical treatment.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with Cepeda’s medical expenses.
