TOWN OF UNION, N.Y. — A man has been convicted in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the Town of Union earlier this year, according to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office.

Jeremiah P. Johnson, 45, was convicted on December 18 of burglary in the second degree. Prosecutors said the conviction stems from an incident on August 9, 2025, when Johnson unlawfully entered a residence with the intent to commit an additional crime inside the home.

During the investigation, authorities reported that Johnson attempted to flee from deputies in an effort to avoid arrest.

Johnson is expected to be sentenced to eight years in state prison, followed by five years of parole supervision.
