Jeremiah Littrell Faces New $127K Theft Charge

Former firefighter accused in home repair fraud case

LEXINGTON, KY — A former firefighter is facing additional theft charges in an ongoing fraud investigation involving unfinished home repair projects.

Jeremiah Littrell was initially arrested in January after being accused of taking $60,000 for work that was never completed. Authorities have now filed a new charge following another complaint.

According to police, a victim reported that Littrell agreed to remodel a home in August 2024 but stopped working on the project around July 2025. Investigators say the victim paid more than $127,000 for the renovations. However, the homeowner claims that key materials, including windows and cabinets valued at over $44,000, were never delivered.

The Lexington Fire Department confirmed that Littrell is no longer employed as a firefighter, a position he had held since 2009.

Littrell is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
