Jeremiah Johnson Sentenced to 13 Years for Lincoln Drive Shooting

Boone County jury convicts Johnson for 2024 assault case

A Columbia man, Jeremiah Johnson, 19, was sentenced to a total of 13 years in prison on Tuesday for his involvement in a shooting incident on Lincoln Drive in July 2024.

Johnson received a 10-year sentence for first-degree assault and an additional three years for armed criminal action. These sentences will be served consecutively. Additionally, he was given a one-year sentence for unlawful use of a weapon, which will be served concurrently with the other charges.

The Boone County jury found Johnson guilty on July 3, 2025, relating to the shooting that occurred on July 10, 2024. During the incident, one individual suffered serious injuries, and police reported that a vehicle at the scene was also damaged.
