LAPORTE, Ind. – A 31-year-old LaPorte man, Jeremiah G. Manley, has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies related to child molestation and exploitation, according to authorities.
The investigation began after the Indiana Department of Child Services received a report of abuse and neglect. Police launched an inquiry and uncovered evidence of sexual abuse occurring at multiple locations in LaPorte County. Manley was soon identified as the primary suspect in the case.
Charges and Arrest
Manley now faces four felony charges, including:
Two counts of child molestation
One count of child exploitation
One count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors
On Friday, March 21, police apprehended Manley at a travel truck stop. He was transported to the LaPorte County Jail, where he remains held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
