LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — Jeremiah Fiorentino, 19, was arrested in connection with the theft of two luxury purses and a credit card stolen from a vehicle in December 2024, authorities confirmed.
Fiorentino was shot in the hand on December 29 and arrested the following day in connection with the shooting incident. During the investigation, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) linked him to a vehicle burglary reported by a Lake Worth Beach woman.
The victim reported that her 2018 Maserati Levante was broken into, and her credit card, along with two designer wallets—a $700 Louis Vuitton purse and a $90 Coach cardholder—were stolen.
Investigators tracked purchases made with the stolen credit card and reviewed surveillance footage to identify the suspect. Body camera footage from the shooting investigation showed a person whose build, mannerisms, and walk matched Fiorentino, confirming his involvement in the break-in.
PBSO arrested Fiorentino on Tuesday. He faces charges of burglary of a conveyance, grand theft, and fraudulent use of personal identification after using the stolen card at local stores.
Fiorentino is still awaiting trial on a felon-in-possession-of-firearm charge related to the shooting. According to the PBSO affidavit, Fiorentino claimed he was injured during a drive-by shooting near 425 South C Street in Lake Worth Beach.
However, the driver of a red Jeep involved gave a different account, stating Fiorentino attempted to rob him after meeting to collect a deposit for an English bulldog sale. The driver said Fiorentino fired six shots at him in self-defense.
Surveillance video supported the driver’s story, though he declined to press charges. A search of Fiorentino’s home revealed a hidden .380 Ruger handgun believed to be the weapon used in the shooting.
