Jeremiah Dean Indicted for Stabbing Pregnant Girlfriend

Faces two attempted murder charges in Memphis attack

Memphis, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man has been formally indicted for a violent attack on his pregnant girlfriend last August.

Jeremiah Dean, 27, is accused of stabbing the woman multiple times following an altercation, leaving her with injuries to her right side and hand. Prosecutors allege the assault was an attempted murder targeting both the woman and her unborn child.

Dean appeared in court on September 25 and October 3, 2024, following his arrest. He has been officially charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

The victim survived the attack, and authorities have not released further details on the condition of the child.
