Camdenton, Mo. — A 54-year-old woman is facing serious charges after a drug trafficking investigation led to the discovery of over 54 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms inside her Camdenton antique store, which also served as her residence.

On Wednesday afternoon, April 30, Jennifer L. Schanuel was arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant at The Peanut Gallery, located at 8297 N. Highway 5, where Schanuel lived and operated the store. During the search, officers found meth, drug paraphernalia, and four firearms in the property.

Schanuel was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Camden County Detention Facility without bond. She faces charges of drug trafficking in the second degree and four counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

The arrest follows a months-long investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies. If convicted, Schanuel could face a life sentence in prison. A court hearing has not yet been scheduled.
