A Pennsylvania State Police investigation has led to charges against a former Hollywood Casino employee accused of stealing more than $727,000 from the facility.
Jennifer Petrillo, 53, formerly of Palmyra and now living in Manheim, was charged on March 11 following nearly a year-long investigation. She allegedly diverted $727,446.65 to herself using fake accounts in the casino’s bookkeeping system.
Petrillo worked as a part-time Horse Racing bookkeeper at the time of the alleged thefts. Police say she had access to the bookkeeping software and the authority to issue physical checks on behalf of the casino.
The investigation began on March 17, 2025, when a fill-in employee noticed discrepancies in the accounting system while Petrillo was on medical leave. Several accounts showed negative balances, and unknown accounts with suspicious activity were discovered.
The discrepancies reportedly date back to June 2024, shortly after Petrillo began her tenure. Several checks were issued to unknown accounts, with transactions including luxury spa treatments, LEGO sets, a Tesla Model 3, plastic surgeries, Robinhood investments, and Cash App transfers.
Petrillo faces nine felony charges, including theft, computer trespassing, forgery, and unlawful use of a computer. She was arraigned on March 12 before Magisterial District Judge Dale E. Klein, who set bail at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 24.
