ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Jennifer Mayerly Gonzalez, 33, of Los Angeles, was arrested for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a Sephora store in the Irvine Spectrum Center mall.
On July 30, surveillance footage showed Gonzalez entering the store and lingering near the Dior beauty section. She was seen discreetly taking liquid and powder foundations along with other items, placing them into a large purse before exiting without paying.
Police later stopped Gonzalez on the 5 Freeway near El Toro Road and discovered over $900 in stolen beauty products in her vehicle. Dior foundations range from $60 to $90 each.
Gonzalez was arrested and faces multiple charges including theft with a prior conviction, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and identity theft. She was booked into the Orange County Jail.
Authorities also noted Gonzalez was wanted for receiving stolen property in a separate case.
