McDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Two McDowell County residents are facing multiple felony drug charges after a narcotics investigation led to a significant cocaine seizure at a home in Nebo, authorities said.
According to a release from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Jennifer Angelina Alley, 36, of Marion, and Curtis Ramon Young, 44, of Nebo, were arrested following a search warrant executed by the MCSO Drug Enforcement Unit and the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office/Marion Police Department SWAT Team.
During the search, detectives recovered:
13 grams of powder cocaine
14.5 grams of crack cocaine
Drug paraphernalia
Alley and Young are both charged with:
Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine
Felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance
Both suspects received $40,000 secured bonds.
The operation was assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Marion Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
