EVERETT, Mass. — A months-long undercover investigation by the Everett Police Department resulted in the arrest of 60-year-old Jendry Morales and the seizure of drugs and approximately $1.5 million in cash, officials announced Thursday.
Search warrants executed at homes in Chelsea and Saugus uncovered a firearm, 1.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine, and the large cash haul, marking the largest money seizure in Everett Police Department history.
The operation received assistance from the Everett and Peabody K9 Units, as well as the Chelsea and Saugus Police Departments.
“I would like to commend this unit and all its detectives and supervisors for their outstanding work in this operation and I would like to thank all participating agencies that assisted us in the case,” Chief Paul D. Strong said. “This is another example when you work as a team good things happen.”
