In a separate operation based on credible intelligence, officers from the Isokoko Division arrested Peter James, 26, and Lesipi Adamu, 24, on April 22, 2025, while they were allegedly removing iron rods embedded in roadside concrete barriers.

Recovered from the scene were tools including:

Two sledgehammers

Two cutting saws

One pair of scissors

While several accomplices escaped arrest, police have launched a manhunt to apprehend them. James and Adamu have already been charged in court on counts of conspiracy, theft, and intentional destruction of public assets.

The recovered tools were documented and submitted as evidence in court proceedings.
