Jeffrey Price Jr. Arrested for Vehicle Theft in Collierville

Drone surveillance aids police in tracking suspect

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Collierville police arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey Price Jr. of Jackson, Tennessee, after tracking a stolen vehicle using drone surveillance.

Officers from the Uniform Patrol Division and Special Enforcement Unit, working with the department’s drone unit, monitored a vehicle suspected to be stolen at the Collierville Crossing shopping center near New Byhalia Road and West Poplar Avenue. Price was taken into custody as he attempted to enter the vehicle.

Investigators found drug paraphernalia, items allegedly stolen from a local business, and a backpack containing additional stolen merchandise and a handgun inside the vehicle.

Price has been charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, vehicle theft, theft of merchandise, and tampering with evidence.
