After an extensive investigation into cocaine trafficking in Ontario County, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on State Route 245 in Stanley, leading to the arrest of 42-year-old Jeffrey Holtby.
During the operation, investigators reportedly discovered cocaine that had been packaged for sale, along with a semi-automatic rifle, which is categorized as an assault weapon under New York law. Holtby now faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
Following his arraignment, Holtby was remanded to Ontario County Jail, with bail set. The charges will be addressed in Seneca Town Court at a future date.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation with assistance from the Geneva Police Department.
It is important to note that these charges are accusations, and Holtby is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
