Former MLA and JD(U) candidate Anant Singh has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dular Chand Yadav, a worker of the Jan Suraj Party. The arrest was made early Sunday morning, according to police officials.

Along with Singh, his close associates Manikant Thakur and Ranjit Ram have also been taken into custody. The trio is accused of involvement in the fatal attack on Yadav, which occurred last Thursday in the Mokama constituency.

The victim, Dular Chand Yadav, was reportedly campaigning for Priyadarshi Piyush, the Jan Suraj Party candidate from Mokama and a relative of Yadav. He was killed during the election event, triggering widespread outrage among local residents and party workers.

Police sources confirmed that Anant Singh’s role in the incident surfaced during the preliminary investigation. Further questioning of the accused is underway, and additional arrests may follow as the probe continues.
