A 49-year-old man, Jazwell Brown, has been charged with two counts of murder following a suspected stabbing in Milton Keynes on Christmas Day. The incident took place on Santa Cruz Avenue in Bletchley, where two women, Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, tragically died. A man in his late 20s and a teenage boy were also injured and taken to the hospital, but their conditions are now stable.
In addition to the two murder charges, Brown faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of possession of a knife in a public place, and one count of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. Thames Valley Police confirmed that the individuals involved were known to each other.
Officers arrived at the scene around 6:30 pm on December 25, where they found the victims and the injured. Forensic teams were seen working at the scene the following day, and a large cordon was set up to preserve evidence. Initial reports indicated a dog was injured during the incident, but police later confirmed the animal survived.
Brown has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at High Wycombe magistrates’ court on Saturday.
