APPLE VALLEY, Calif. — Two Nevada residents, Jayro Rojas Gonzalez, 24, and Ariel Fernandez Milian, 38, were arrested after a series of shoplifting incidents at Ulta Beauty stores in Apple Valley and Hesperia, totaling over $2,300 in stolen goods.
The investigation started on August 31, 2025, when deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to a theft report at the Ulta Beauty on Bear Valley Road. Though the suspects fled before police arrived, officials identified their vehicle and confirmed stolen merchandise worth about $668.
On September 3, deputies caught another theft in progress at the same Apple Valley location. Gonzalez and Fernandez Milian allegedly stole approximately $1,434 in cologne and fled once again. Later that day, the duo was involved in a third theft at the Ulta Beauty in Hesperia, stealing an additional $254 worth of items.
Authorities tracked down the suspect vehicle in Hesperia and detained the two men without incident. Both were booked into the High Desert Detention Center. Fernandez Milian faces charges of conspiracy, organized retail theft, and grand theft, while Gonzalez was charged with conspiracy and grand theft. Bail was set at $30,000 for both.
All stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to Ulta Beauty.
