Jayden Wright and Jared Dimmit Arrested for Robbery and Car Theft

Two men face multiple charges after assaulting a victim and stealing his vehicle in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — Two men, Jayden Wright, 19, from Ozark, and Jared Dimmit, 42, from Springfield, were arrested following an alleged assault and car theft incident on February 5, 2025.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reported that the victim was attacked by Wright and Dimmit on State Highway Z, where they allegedly stole his vehicle. The suspects have been charged with a range of serious offenses:

Wright’s charges:

First-degree robbery (Class A Felony)
Armed criminal action (Class U Felony)
Second-degree assault (Class D Felony)
Stealing a motor vehicle (Class D Felony)
Dimmit’s charges:

First-degree robbery (Class A Felony)
Second-degree assault (Class D Felony)
Stealing a motor vehicle (Class D Felony)
Resisting arrest for a felony (Class E Felony)
After the robbery, authorities located both suspects and the stolen vehicle on February 6. Wright and Dimmit attempted to flee but were apprehended when K9 units were deployed.

Both suspects are now being held at the Greene County Jail. Wright’s bond is set at $100,000, while Dimmit’s bond is higher at $200,000.

The investigation continues, and authorities have warned that further charges may follow.
