FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) — Javon Henley of West Fargo is facing multiple charges after authorities say he stole a pickup truck and was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Henley, 24, allegedly took the truck between May 18 and 21. The vehicle was reported stolen on May 20 after the victim, who had given Henley a ride, left him in her car to walk into a friend’s house. She left the key fob with Henley, so he could lock up the car, but Henley instead drove off with it.
Despite several attempts to contact Henley, the victim said he ignored her calls and text messages, claiming he would return the truck, but never did. After involving law enforcement, the victim gave Henley another opportunity to return the vehicle. However, Henley failed to show up as promised.
On May 21, police spotted the stolen truck at the Loaf N Jug gas station on University Drive. Henley, along with three other individuals, including a 14-year-old girl, were detained. A used meth pipe was found near Henley in the vehicle.
Henley, who had previously provided a false name during a traffic stop on May 17, continued to use the alias “Samuel Calhoun” during his detention. Henley now faces charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and providing false information to law enforcement.
