TOLEDO, Ohio — A 21-year-old man from north Toledo, Javantay Noble, faces multiple felony charges following an alleged kidnapping and attempted suffocation incident on Saturday.
According to police affidavits, Noble forced the victim into a vehicle by threatening to assault and stab them. During the drive to another location, he reportedly continued threatening the victim, claiming he would assault them with a crowbar or tire iron.
Once at the location, Noble allegedly shoved the victim onto a couch and placed a pillow over their face, pushing it down to the point where the victim struggled to breathe.
Noble has been charged with first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony strangulation/suffocation.
A warrant was issued for Noble’s arrest on Sunday. He was booked into the Lucas County Jail the same day and arraigned on Monday with a $150,000 bond set with no percentage. Noble has also been ordered to have no contact with the victim and to refrain from possessing any weapons.
