Jasper Peterson Convicted on Drug and Assault Charges in Albany

Peterson found guilty of cocaine possession and assault; sentencing set for 2025

Albany, NY — Jasper Peterson, 44, of Albany, was convicted on November 8 following a jury trial in Albany County Court. Peterson was found guilty of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Assault.

The charges stemmed from an incident on September 15, 2023, near Knox Street in the City of Albany. Peterson was accused of possessing over half an ounce of cocaine with the intent to sell.

Additionally, Peterson was charged with intentionally injuring another person at the same location on the same date.

Peterson’s sentencing is set for January 17, 2025, and he faces up to 15 years in state prison.
