TULSA, OK — Tulsa Police have arrested Jason Lynn for the alleged murder of Alan Underwood Jr. following a fatal altercation in a vacant lot near 100 S. Utica on January 10th.
According to Tulsa Police Department (TPD), officers used surveillance footage and citizen tips to identify and apprehend Lynn. Investigators say he confessed to fighting Underwood Jr., whose severe injuries ultimately led to his death.
Lynn, a tribal member, is currently being held on an FBI hold and will face prosecution in either tribal or federal court.
Police initially discovered the victim’s body on January 10th in a lot at 102 S. Utica, where evidence suggested he had been beaten to death. Authorities noted that Underwood Jr. appeared to be homeless.
This marks Tulsa’s second homicide of 2025. Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward.
