Williamsport, Pa. — Jason Lucas, 44, a local HVAC contractor, faces multiple felony charges after allegedly accepting $3,000 for a job last November but neither completing the work nor refunding the money.
According to Officer Nicholas Carrita, Lucas took the payment from a victim in Williamsport but has since failed to provide any services or return the funds.
Lucas, currently incarcerated at SCI Huntingdon after being moved from Northumberland County Prison, has a history of legal troubles. In 2020, he was arrested following a traffic incident in Shamokin where he ran a stop sign, hit a pole causing a power outage for 50 PPL customers, fled the scene, and returned to use racial slurs while claiming to be Aryan and God.
The latest victim has reportedly reached out multiple times seeking the return of the $3,000 payment.
Lucas is charged with receiving advance payment without performance, deceptive business practices, and theft by deception. All charges are classified as third-degree felonies.
