Jason Erne Arrested for Drunk Driving at 100 MPH in Marshall County

Man charged with OWI and reckless driving on US-30

MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa — A man was arrested Saturday evening after deputies caught him speeding at 100 miles per hour while driving under the influence in Marshall County.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Erne, 27, was traveling along US-30 near Hawthorn Road when he was clocked going well over the 60 mph speed limit.

Erne underwent a field sobriety test and a certified breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.12, above the legal limit.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he faces charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI) and Reckless Driving.

Erne was given a $1,500 cash bond and is expected to appear in court soon.
