RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) — Two North Dakota men have pleaded not guilty to federal charges stemming from an armed robbery at a credit union in South Dakota.
Jason Cook, 40, and Conrad DeMarce, 37, both of New Town, North Dakota, are accused of robbing the Black Hills Federal Credit Union in Eagle Butte on April 8. The pair were indicted on federal bank robbery charges and entered their not guilty pleas in federal court in Pierre on April 21.
Both men remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending their trial, which is scheduled for June 30. If convicted, Cook and DeMarce each face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
