Danville, Pa. — Jarrett Lee Castelonia, 44, was arrested early this morning following a tense standoff with Pennsylvania State Police troopers and the U.S. Marshals Service. The incident unfolded around 6:20 a.m. at the Super 8 Motel in Danville.

Castelonia, wanted on a felony warrant for prohibited firearm ownership in Northumberland County, was sought for allegedly assaulting a woman with a telescope stand in Zerbe Township and unlawfully possessing a firearm due to his felony status. During the arrest attempt, Castelonia reportedly struck an officer’s police car mirror before being transported to Geisinger Medical Center for leg pain. He then fled from the medical facility but was later apprehended.

The arrest caps a series of incidents involving Castelonia, including animal thefts, with authorities continuing to investigate his activities.
