Two thieves, Jamal Hussain from Napam, Tezpur, and Imrakul Ali from Shilbari, Dalgaon, Darrang, were arrested by Jamuguri Police with the help of local residents today. The duo attempted to rob the house of Mamraj Ali in Goitamari when no one was home. However, they were caught red-handed by neighbors while stealing valuables from the house.
Upon receiving information, a team from Jamuguri Police swiftly arrived at the scene and arrested the thieves. This incident highlights the growing concerns regarding anti-social activities, including theft, chain snatching, and drug peddling, in the Jamugurihat area.
The police are further investigating the case to ensure the safety of local residents and curb the rising crime rate in the region.
