In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Jammu police have arrested two individuals, Showkat Ali and Khadim Hussain, for possessing heroin. The arrests were made as part of the ongoing ‘Sanjeevani’ operation by a police team from Bishnah. During routine patrolling, the police set up a temporary checkpoint and recovered seven grams of heroin from the suspects.
The two men, both residents of Sikandar Pur in Bishnah, were immediately apprehended. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Bishnah police station.
This arrest further highlights the police’s commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the region.
