Jammu Police Arrest Rajinder Sharma in Janipur Theft Case

Stolen household items worth Rs 40,000 recovered

Jammu and Kashmir Police have solved a theft case in the Janipur area by arresting the accused and recovering the stolen property.

The case was registered at Police Station Janipur following a complaint by Shamima Banoo, a resident of Upper Paloura, Janipur, who reported theft from her residence.

A police team led by Inspector Vikram Sharma, SHO Janipur, under the supervision of SDPO City West Dr. Satish Bhardwaj and SP City North Vivek Shekhar, arrested Rajinder Sharma from Old Janipur, Jammu.

During questioning, Sharma confessed to the theft and disclosed the location of the stolen goods. The police recovered numerous household items including a refrigerator, washing machine, gas stove, two cylinders, rice cookers, fry pans, cauldrons, blankets, 15 kilograms of aluminum angle, wire valued around Rs 40,000, four mixers, five taps, and six geyser pipes from his possession.

The police continue to ensure safety and security in the Janipur area.
