MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man, Jamison Cameron, 24, has been arrested and charged after allegedly shooting a 2-year-old girl and a woman outside a residence.
Cameron faces five counts of attempted second-degree murder, five counts of employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, reckless endangerment, and aggravated child abuse.
The incident occurred on Saturday at the Condiments at Brentwood apartments on Eden Park Drive. Police arrived to find a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg and a 2-year-old with a gunshot wound to her face.
According to investigators, the victims were standing in the doorway of a home with a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old when Cameron, the woman’s brother, allegedly approached and opened fire. A 5-month-old and a 14-year-old were inside the house at the time.
The victims, who are related to Cameron, stated they do not know why he attacked them.
Cameron’s bond has been set at $750,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
