COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A woman was arrested overnight after allegedly stealing an EMS ambulance from a hospital and leading police on a short chase.
According to the College Station Police Department, officers were alerted that a patient had stolen a private EMS ambulance from CHI St. Joseph Hospital on Rock Prairie. Using GPS tracking and assistance from EMS dispatch, police quickly located the vehicle heading toward Navasota on Highway 6.
A brief, slow-speed pursuit ensued and ended safely, with the suspect taken into custody without incident.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jamisha Williams. She has been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
