Jamieson Carriaga Arrested After Stealing Relative’s Truck, Linked to Drug Case

A 39-year-old man, Jamieson Curtis Carriaga, is behind bars after stealing a family member’s truck and being connected to a previous drug possession case.

Carriaga was arrested on Tuesday in Agana Heights after officers stopped a gray Toyota Tundra with expired registration and insurance. During the traffic stop, he initially gave a false name but later revealed his true identity.

Investigators later discovered an open theft case against him. During questioning, Carriaga admitted to stealing a black Toyota Tacoma from a relative who was serving overseas in the military. He claimed he took the vehicle to “check on a girl.”

Further investigation tied Carriaga to a previous incident in February, when officers say he fled from them on a motorcycle, crashed, and was found with bags containing suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

Carriaga now faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft, drug possession, and resisting arrest.
