ROCKFORD, Iowa – A reported burglary over the weekend in Cerro Gordo County escalated into a high-speed chase and crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were dispatched just before 6 p.m. Saturday to the 20000 block of 220th Street for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies spotted a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado fleeing the scene. The vehicle reached speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour during the pursuit.

The Silverado lost control near the intersection of 250th Street and Spruce Avenue, veering into a ditch and rolling onto its roof. EMS treated the driver, Jamie Lee Paulsen, 39, and two passengers, Brooklyn Autumn O’Dell, 29, and Justice Michael Jefferey Pritchard, 29, at the scene.

All three, residents of Mason City, were taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Authorities report a fourth suspect fled the crash site and remains at large.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information to come forward. The Iowa State Patrol, Mason City Police, and Fire Departments assisted in the incident.
